It's been some time since I bored y'all here but I've been unable to get on and very lazy, but - I'm Back!! It's week 7 and My once great Saints were away to the once great Seahawks and a return of the once mighty Blaylock at QB for thm. Both had a 3-3 season but them with a 3 game winning streak, me with a 3 game loosing one. Could the Saints turn it around? No!! I must admit I was lucky to go into OT due to a blocked punt and then immediate FG to level the scores, but I had missed 2 FGs in regulation so fair dos. Actualy one of those missed FG came when Blaylock was intercepted and I took over the ball at the 15 yard line. I could not move the ball in so it was 4th and goal at the ((ish). Now I remember thinking when doing the game plan that I would not go for it on 4th and goal as had been my wont so far but settle for a FG. My actual thought were 'you've been in some close games, there was that occasion against the Panthers when you could have leveld the scores at 17-17 in the fourth but went for and failed the 4th down. It's time to accept the points on the table' Wrong again, as my doofas of a kicker missed a 29 yarder. He's not done that for a long time. Anyway, onto OT and we started off well and they were held in thier half but gradualy started pushing me back and with about 40 secs to go I was deep in my half and thought oh well, this will be my fist tied game ever, but no! My QB sufferd his only sack of the game pushing him back 14 yards we had to puntand that extra 14 yards for him meant he was able to get in FG range and hit a 40 yarder to win the game with the last kick of the game. Good bloody grief. I despair of these Saints. The only good news of the weekend was the fact that I avoided playing the Titans in PAFL 5 play offs and now meet uncoached Colts. Just watch me cockthat up Gloom (Said I'd bore you!) |
